Care & Use
Are your pieces food safe?
Yes! All of my pottery is food safe. I use non-toxic, lead-free glazes so you can feel confident using them every day.
Is it microwave and dishwasher safe?
Most pieces are safe for both. That said, handmade pottery lasts longer if you treat it with care, so handwashing is always the gentlest option.
Orders and Custom Pieces
Where is your pottery made?
Every piece is handmade by me! I use a studio called The Wheel House in Portsmouth, NH.
Do you take custom or wholesale orders?
Yes! I love creating custom pieces and also can take wholesale orders for shops. Just reach out and we can chat about your ideas.
How long does a custom order take?
Custom pieces usually take 4–6 weeks, since clay needs time to be shaped, dried, fired, glazed, and fired again. (Good things are worth the wait!)
Can I request a specific glaze or color combination?
Definitely! I’m happy to work with you on colors and finishes. Just note that glaze results can vary slightly, which is part of the magic of handmade pottery.
Shipping and Returns
How is shipping calculated? Do you offer local pickup?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight and distance. If you want to meet up in Portsmouth at my studio, I also offer free pickup options! Use "LOCALPICKUP" in discounts.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because each piece is handmade and unique, I don’t accept returns or exchanges. I only accept returns if the wrong item was shipped to you.
What happens if my pottery arrives broken?
I pack everything carefully, but accidents do happen. If your piece arrives damaged, please email me photos at moonsnailpottery@gmail.com in its original package within 48 hours and I will try my best to make it right.
Do you sell at local markets or only online?
Both! You can always shop online, and I also love popping up at local markets in Maine and New Hampshire. Follow along on Instagram for updates.
